Mark Zuckerberg Married
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg got married to his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan on May 19, 2012 (24hrs after Facebook went IPO). No wonder he rang the bell remotely yesterday during the IPO, he was busy with the wedding preps. 27 year old Priscilla Chan graduated from University of California Medical School on Monday 14, 2012 when Zuckerberg turned 28.

Mark Zuckerberg added his wedding picture to his timeline as a life event. He was suited up on his wedding day instead of his regular hoodie. The wedding was held in Zuckerberg’s backyard with about 100 guests in attendance. This must be a very busy week for Zuckerberg and his wife. Happy Married life to you both!!!

Facebook IPO
Facebook goes to market in grand style. The shares of facebook entered the Nasdaq market making the third largest initial public offering in the history of the United States. Mark Zuckerberg rang the opening bell remotely from the company’s headquarters. The share price set at $38 on Thursday night gained $4 through the night and trading started @$42. Facebook IPO sets a record of $500million shares on its first day of trading.

Eight year old Facebook with twenty-eight year old CEO is now a $104 billion company [bigger than Amazon, Cisco, Visa, Citigroup and a host of other BIG companies]. Now Facebook can buy any company on planet earth and beyond :-) . We hope to see what’s next with Facebook as the company goes public hoping it won’t become MySpace of tomorrow. Good luck to Facebook Company as Mark Zuckerberg became the 29th richest person in the world.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo
Obafemi Awolowo aka Awo was a Nigerian economist, lawyer, journalist and politician. He was born on March 6, 1909 and died on May 9, 1987. Obafemi Awolowo was Nigeria’s Premier of the Western Region and founder of the famous [Action Group] political party. He introduced free education in the Western Region during his time.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a rare genius. After his death he was embalmed for years in his hometown @Ikene and I remembered the day we made a trip to see his body. The day he was finally laid to rest (May 11, 1996) happened to be the day Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe died in Nigeria (I still can’t figure out this puzzle). Continue to rest in peace, Obafemi Awolowo, you are gone but not forgotten.
